Status: Full-time
Experience producing websites that feature dynamic content such as that which is served from a content management system or from a portal system (personalized UI) is extremely important. The succesful candidate is fluent producing complex, intricate web homepage and lower tier designs and layouts as well as comfortable in conversing about site architecture and page and content definitions, and working with and manipulating image and graphic assets. Work will include flowing content received from clients into project workspaces and website skeletons, managing image content received from clients, assisting project managers with organization of work and project workspaces, creating web forms and pages per metaphor's spec and per project CSS, script writing and debugging, and general QA (Quality Assurance) work. The producer will also work closely with designers to create new layouts and basic designs that build off of an established look and feel.
A passion for inteaction and the possibilities it offers is required.
Requirements
- 1-3 years of industry-related experience
- proficiency in Photoshop, Illustrator and Macromedia Dreamweaver MX
- ability to work in a team environment
- demonstrated understanding of the latest web production techniques, especially CSS, XHTML and javascript
- an understanding of web standards and compliance
- ability to follow changing task prioritization
- ability to create symantically coded pages optimized for SEO (Search Engine Optimization) and accessibility
- an understanding of Web site marketing and promotions
Preferences
- full website project life-cycle experience
- proficiency in Flash
- familiar with open-source technologies
- familiar with Mac OSX environment
